Delivered by GRID Alternatives, this project will provide no-cost rooftop solar panel installations to 75 single family, low-income households in the Coachella Prospera area. These services also include electric panel upgrades and minor roof repairs for qualifying residents. These energy-efficient installations will help residents save hundreds of dollars annually on their utility bills while reducing greenhouse gas emissions associated with air pollution.

Q: Who is eligible to receive solar panels?
A: Up to 75 single family, low-income homeowners in the project area may qualify.
Q: What do the upgrades include?
A: The upgrades include new solar panels, and in some cases electrical main service panel
upgrades, and possibly even electric vehicle charging infrastructure along with cool roofing repair.
Roofing materials will have high solar reflectance and thermal emittance properties.
