Urban Greening
Project

Led by the City of Coachella in partnership with the Southern California Mountains Foundation and the Urban Conservation Corps, this project will enhance green spaces throughout the project area, including the Coachella Transit Hub, 5th Street Paseo, Sierra Vista Park, and the Avenue 53 Tot Lot. Each location will receive new trees, vegetation, and updated desert landscaping. In addition to the urban greening in these public spaces, 254 trees will be distributed to the community through a tree giveaway that includes a tree care and maintenance education program.
