Connecting Coachella
Project

The Connecting Coachella project will build approximately 5,100 linear feet of new Class II green bike lanes along Shady Lane (Avenue 52 to 9th Street) and Orchard Avenue (9th Street to Shady Lane).These improvements will help encourage safe biking, improve air quality, and connect key corridors within the Coachella Prospera area. By increasing the connectivity gaps throughout the community, this project will also help reduce vehicle trips and promote active transportation in underserved.
