Project 1:
Sixth Street Apartments

Equitable Housing

This project will bring 53 units of 100% affordable housing to low-income seniors in the heart of the Coachella Prospera project area. Designed to ensure fixed-income seniors are not displaced, the development combines comfort, accessibility, and supportive services to promote healthy aging.

Each unit will be equipped with modern essentials including air conditioning, refrigerator, range, garbage disposal, window coverings, and storage space. Enclosed, climate-controlled corridors will provide added comfort and safety for senior residents.

On-site amenities include a 1,290 SF community building featuring a kitchen, restrooms, computer room, and a property management office.

Residents will also have access to supportive services provided by the Pacific Southwest Community Development Corporation, including:

The complex will also feature 4,700 SF of commercial space, creating opportunities for community-serving businesses and services.

In addition, residents will benefit from nearby resources, all within a half-mile of the project, such as a public transit hub, social services, medical facilities, public parks, a community center, library, retail, financial institutions, and a post office.

Together, these features create a safe and affordable place for seniors to live and thrive in Coachella.
